Who is the target group? Assembly and maintenance workers working in elevator construction Eligibility requirements Completed apprenticeship in a technology-related trade from the Chamber of Crafts and Trades (HWK) or a technical profession from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) OR Equivalent professional activity (at the discretion of the employer) corresponding to two years of professional experience in elevator technology
What is included? Basic content for the Qualified Electrician (ffT) in Elevator Construction (32 teaching units): -Electrical Basics: Requirements, regulations; physical principles of electricity; DC circuits, electric fields, magnetic fields; Effects of electric current; focus on direct current; electrical components, technical applications. -Basic Electrical Engineer (ffT): Summary of electrical basics; focus on alternating current technology, introduction to measurement technology as well as circuit symbols and reading circuit diagrams, Measurement Practice I: Basic electrical circuits; Electric current: hazards, protection, first aid. -Self-study phase, in-house (23 teaching units): VFA worksheets on relevant standards, VDE regulations, DGUV (German Social Accident Insurance), and electrical engineering. Subsequent evaluation and discussion in the following classroom module: - Advanced content for qualified electricians (ffT) in elevator construction (25 teaching units): Focus: Three-phase technology, three-phase circuits (reversing contactors, star-delta), Measurement Practice II: Troubleshooting and measurement theory (VD), company-specific requirements; Electricity: Hazards, protective measures, first aid; Review course, performance assessment.
What qualification will I receive? VFA certificate in coordination with the BG ETEM (Energy, Textile, Electrical, and Media Products Accident Insurance Association). The employer can then place the order.

Who is the target group? All qualified electricians working in elevator construction for specific tasks – especially those who have completed the relevant VFA training – who want to refresh their theoretical knowledge because the maximum period of approximately two to three years recommended by the employers' liability insurance associations has elapsed since their last training.

What qualification will I receive? Automated VFA certification confirming successful completion of the refresher module.
