Switch GmbH is an owner-managed company based in Isernhagen near Hanover, founded in 1998 by managing directors Andreas and Edgar Burr. Both founders gained extensive experience in systems engineering, production, and testing at a well-known company in the elevator industry.
In 1999, the product portfolio was significantly expanded through the acquisition of the exclusive distributorship for 'Giovenzana International BV', a leading global manufacturer of components for the elevator and crane industry. This also led to the expansion of customer-specific system manufacturing in the area of switchgear and mine inspection control systems.
In 2014, a shaft lighting system with an LED light strip was introduced to the market for the first time. The 'easy connect LED' light strip enables uniform illumination of the shaft with extremely simple and quick installation.
The further developed ‘easy connect LED120’ light strip is once again setting standards in the field of shaft lighting systems.
In 2022, Dr. Florian Steinmann took over the company in Isernhagen near Hanover and is now leading it into a bright future.
To meet the emergency lighting requirements of the European standard EN81.20, Switch GmbH has developed an LED light strip with integrated emergency lighting. The 'easy connect LEDplus' light strip thus ensures emergency lighting throughout the entire shaft, providing the best possible support for the technician in an emergency.
