Our core technology is the push chain – a chain that can not only pull but also push. Founded in France in 1972, we have made a name for ourselves over the decades through innovative solutions for demanding tasks. In addition to elevator technology, SERAPID conveyor systems are used in a wide variety of industries, including entertainment, aerospace, medical technology, and many others, offering optimal solutions for complex projects.


Services

Lift systems with rigid chain technology – an alternative drive solution. Under the SERAPID Lift Systems brand, we specialize exclusively in elevators with rigid chain technology. In addition to certified drive systems, we offer various elevator packages for elevator manufacturers as well as complete, turnkey elevator systems (in Western Europe). Our rigid chain systems are easily scalable, thus solving challenges for extremely heavy loads and long strokes with ease, reaching their limits where others fail. The focus is on new options for "low-rise, high-load, low-speed" applications with high operational reliability requirements, which can also be implemented as a highly available elevator solution. Rigid chain technology (RCT) allows the lifting forces to be transmitted almost entirely via the pit and requires no interlocking devices or overrun control. This technology combines multi-stop solutions with a compact footprint for all drive technology within the pit – all while being environmentally friendly and requiring minimal maintenance. This results in a significant reduction in the construction costs of the elevator shaft and enables comparable availability at lower speeds, leading to further savings in overall infrastructure costs. All solutions meet the requirements of the Elevator Directive or the Machinery Directive and comply with the relevant standards.
