The elevator is the heart of every building. Skyscrapers would be inconceivable without elevators, and our major cities wouldn't exist without them. And rightly so: the elevator is the most important means of transportation in our society. Therefore, it's all the more crucial that it functions reliably. Planning and consultation are the first steps. How many elevators, how large, and how fast do they need to be to guarantee comfortable and efficient transport? How can we increase the capacity of an existing elevator? Is it worthwhile to modernize the old elevator, or is a complete replacement the better option?
