Founded in 1897, the family-owned company Mayr Antriebstechnik is a leading manufacturer of safety brakes, safety couplings, and shaft couplings. These products are primarily designed for use in electrically driven machines and systems. They can be found in bottling plants, machine tools, packaging and printing machines, as well as in elevators, wind turbines, and stage technology. The company operates in over 60 industries worldwide. Around 750 employees currently work at the company's headquarters in Mauerstetten, in the Allgäu region of Germany, while Mayr Antriebstechnik employs approximately 1,350 people internationally. The company operates two additional plants in Poland and China and is currently establishing a branch in India. With subsidiaries in the USA, France, Great Britain, Italy, Singapore, Japan, Spain, and Switzerland, as well as around 40 other country representatives, Mayr Antriebstechnik has a global presence.
