On June 1, 2000, AVERDI was founded in Berlin by owner Peter Erdmann. The company began selling load measurement systems as a wholesale company in partnership with one of the largest manufacturers of load measurement sensors.
Other components such as light grids, indicators, and emergency telephones were quickly added to the portfolio. In the area of LED technology, proprietary products were established on the market, and a recording studio was set up specifically for voice announcements.
In 2011, the company moved to the North Sea. The recording studio was relocated to East Frisia, and a mobile lighting laboratory was set up. The product range was further expanded to include professional access technology products and electronic key safes.
From the moment the first indicators were sold, the topic of "people with limited mobility" was a top priority at AVERDI.
In 2014, stair lifts were added to the product range. The successes demonstrated that these products also represent an interesting addition for the elevator manufacturer.
Since November 2015, AVERDI has also represented Grupo Zarel and its company Adim-Lift, the Spanish manufacturer of platform lifts and home lifts.
