On June 1, 2000, AVERDI was founded in Berlin by its owner, Peter Erdmann. As a wholesaler, the company began distributing load measurement systems in partnership with one of the largest manufacturers of load measurement sensors.

Additional components such as light curtains, indicators, and emergency telephones were added to the portfolio in quick succession. In the field of LED technology, proprietary products were established on the market, and a dedicated recording studio was set up for voice announcements.

In 2011, the company relocated to the North Sea coast. The recording studio was moved to East Frisia, and a mobile lighting lab was set up. The product range was further expanded to include professional access control products and electronic key safes.

From the very beginning, with the distribution of the first newspapers, the topic of "people with limited mobility" was a top priority at AVERDI.

Stairlifts were added to the product range in 2014. Their success showed that these products also offered an interesting addition for the elevator manufacturer.

Since November 2015, AVERDI has also represented Grupo Zarel and its subsidiary Adim-Lift, the Spanish manufacturer of platform lifts and home lifts.
